The drain hose is kinked
One simple non-issue is that your drain hose is kinked and thus the drain water cannot flow out of your washing machine.
The fix is easy enough: just inspect your drain hose and straighten out the kinks when you find one.
The drain is blocked
If didn’t find any kinks in the drain hose, then maybe the drainage itself is blocked.
Check for blockages in the drain hose first. First, remove it from the unit itself (you may have to remove a few screws while you’re at it). Next, run some water on one end. If there is nothing coming out at the other end, then there is surely a blockage somewhere in there.
The most common culprits are loose items of clothing, built-up lint, and coins. For these, you can pull them out with pliers if they sit near the openings of the drain pipe. If not, you may have to use a pipe cleaner or a plumber’s snake to fish out these pesky obstructions.
The pump is malfunctioning
